Reward terminology
Mobile game reward glossary
Reward pages often use similar words for very different claim methods. This glossary gives each term a practical meaning so players can understand what a portal expects before opening a link or entering account information.
- Direct reward link
- A URL that carries the official claim route and may open the game, identify an offer or apply the reward without a separately typed code.
- Gift code or redemption code
- A sequence of letters, numbers or both that must be entered in the game or on an official portal to request a specific reward.
- UID or player ID
- A unique identifier assigned to a game account, character or role so the redemption system can deliver an item to the intended profile.
- Official domain
- The verified website hostname used by a game or publisher. The complete hostname matters because lookalike domains can copy branding and page design.
- Claim or redemption portal
- A website or in-game screen that validates a code, link and account details before issuing the reward.
- Expiry
- The point after which an offer can no longer be claimed, whether because its deadline passed or the campaign was closed by the operator.
- Claim quota
- A maximum number of successful redemptions set globally, per region, per server or per account. A reward can reach this limit before its stated date.
- Region or server restriction
- An eligibility rule that limits a reward to specified countries, game versions, platforms or servers even while the offer remains active elsewhere.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a direct link and a gift code?
A direct link carries the claim route in the URL and may open the game or apply a reward automatically. A gift code is a separate string that must be entered in the game or on an official redemption portal.
What do UID and official domain mean?
A UID is a unique account or player identifier used to send the reward to the correct profile. An official domain is the verified website hostname used by the game or publisher for its claim process.
Do reward terms have exactly the same meaning in every game?
No. One game may call its action resource energy while another uses stamina, dice or spins. RewardAtlas records the wording used by each title and explains the shared function without treating the resources as interchangeable.
